How to use nagios's check_udp for Monitoring ntpd? -


i want monitor ntpd services , ntpd service used udp protocol。nagios have method named check_udp,as follows： [root@localhost]# ./check_udp -h 127.0.0.1 -p 123 udp checks, send/expect string must specified.

i want know how use check_udp...

i suggest saving effort , use 1 of many ntp nagios plugins 1 below official nagios plugins package.
