iphone - Dropbox-update batch count of application on file add -

i implemented dropbox functionality , able access dropbox contents(with files , folders).now want implement 1 functionality unable understand,how implement. requirement is:

when add new file dropbox site,i want update batch count of application(assuming if app not in running mode).

how implement thing.. please me out.
