c++ - Using different compiler in Visual Studio -


this maybe beginner question not find proper answer on internet. curious can use some other compiler (which like) in visual studio 10?

as of visual studio 2010, conceptually possible integrate compiler. in book ‘inside microsoft build engine, using msbuild , team foundation buid’ 2nd edition, on page 338, chapter ‘adding new platform , platform toolset’ process of adding gcc visual studio explained.

however, while possible, has remained concept. awareness, nobody has been task , publicly disclosed results. support, you'd still lacking debugging facilities. require compiler of choice generate .pdb files and/or extend visual studio new local debugger
