Google Analytics filters not working properly with Tag Manager and multiple subdomains -

so issue have multiple filtered subdomains in same ga account proper "include traffic hostname contains subdomain.domain.com" filters. had local digital marketing company anvil media me set up.

but there keywords showing in subdomain traffic reports sending traffic main domain , not subdomain. know because quick google search confirm keyword in question brining main domain , not subdomain.

the filters seem filtering of traffic out, not of it.

any ideas? i've been reading articles days . . .

google search results personalized. person may see main domain , person b seeing sub-domain.

you should able confirm filter working correctly doing custom report using page (dimension) , pageviews (metric) , filtering page "exclude page containing sub_domain_a." , seeing if results. if results filter wrong. if don't filter working, keywords bringing traffic sub-domain.

the landing page path dimension useful in determining pages causing behavior don't want.
