how use ipython on top of pypy interpreter rather cpython interpreter? ipython website says works, scant on details of how it.

you can create pypy virtualenv :

virtualenv -p /path/to/pypy <venv_dir>

activate virtualenv 

source <venv_dir>/bin/activate

and install ipython

pip install ipython
