hadoop - Is there an apache pig equivalent of "SHOW TABLES"? -


i have hadoop data store i'm accessing in pig , not lot of documentation on it, plus i'm new pig, looking pig equivalent of "show tables". when have connection mysql db can , general sense of data in there; have found several tutorials nothing on point. if not, there other way orient myself hadoop data store know nothing about?

eta: when running pig in interactive mode, rather loading script. obvious, thought should mention it.

pig doesn't have concept of tables. can read file on hdfs filesystem , stores parsed result in relation.

note can run hdfs filesystem commands grunt shell

it's best familiarise hdfs first , make sure can comfortably navigate filesystem first can find data want process pig.
