java - What does "withdrawn" status mean for a JSR? -

i checking jsr 227 page , see status shown "withdrawn". status mean? mean deprecated? there newer version has replaced specification?

for programmer, doesn't mean anything.

oracle invented declarative way user interface of jsf application connected underlying data services, , core of application development framework (adf). since have built , using extensively in adf, , since using adf huge new erp suite (fusion applications), stay around long, long time.

oracle wanted able "standards-based" submitted way jsr. ibm, using different method, saw no benefit in granting competitor official jsr, blocked it.

the fact it's been withdrawn housekeeping.
