What should I look at to diagnose an SSAS dimension definition error? -


i'm pretty new ssas , having problems presenting aggregations based on 2 different dates. here quick rundown:

fact table: sale measure order date ship date

time dimension pk_date fiscal year aggregation columns

i have defined in data source view 2 different relationships fact table time dimension table, 1 joining pk_date order date, , other pk_date ship date.

i've defined 2 different dimensions, ship_hier , order_hier, use 2 different relations.

ssas doesn't seem want display data based on ship date. both of dimensions aggregta data on order_date, though ship dimension defined use ship date rlationship.

at point have no idea look. i'm sure it's elemental. should @ figure out.

i think problem might because of have added date fields measures aggregation function sum. shouldn't select date fields measures of cube or check there no aggregation function them.
