iphone - Downloading "mobileconfig" file from an App -


my org creating app, have wifi hotspots listed in mobile config file, user not have write password these wifi when in range. know can done using .mobileconfig file. have serious doubts.

here few questions regarding app:

  1. can .mobileconfig file created programatically. cannot find link how cretae programatically (not using ipcu).

  2. will apple allow app creates .mobileconfig file , asks user download , install it, change wifi settings?

  3. is making user download .mobileconfig file possible via safari or mail? there way file opened directly app settings screen?

1) yes can. can created xml file. in fact, can open , edit unsigned .mobileconfig file in text editor , edit fields. keep in mind if it's signed edits file require re-sign it.

2) apple allow app downloads , installs .mobileconfig via safari, i've seen 1 on app store this.

3) safari + mail ways open them(on ios).
