logging - log messages format starting with date/time -


all log statements have seen start date/time , go on provide additional information. have followed rule of thumb, not give reason when asked for.

is there specific reason why -or- ok format statement such date/time not first field?

this convention , helpful when trying correlate reported events or issues messages in log file. logging libraries let configure log message format.

it worth keeping in mind if consuming log files expect find date / time field.
