java - Game development update for newbie -


i know many topics been here before think mine updated question. want start on game development, target platform android. have experienced in web desktop , android application have totally no experience in game development. have read game development vectors , other stuff kind of complicated me not in math. android , desktop life cycle different better me start developing games in desktop first , have better understanding.

  • i not in math can still game developer ?

i need high level guidance game developers domain, challenges , requirements.

consider these when develop games

  • android bear framework may not other gaming frameworks developing games. since android need math yourself. movement collision detection correctly timed animation multiple device support , testing.
  • memory management huge issue, need work on big time, if cant make game runs smoothly , can fun play dont release game.
  • it must fun play, forget else.
  • you need graphic designer backgrounds, characters , emotions. without crappy looking game, no fun play.
  • you need engage user, need levels difficulty levels, called gameplay. need amount of thought story using engage user.
  • bug fixes gets tested in field important. lot of people play free. play hell lot before release.
  • consider learning frameworks carona. bear android pain develop criteria above.

its passionate mans job dude, dont fun :). in if love making games, not if love playing them. in if have excelling gameplay, character , story in mind. designer understands color , can artists job too. need give images in various sizes, shapes , resolution, needs around until release. since last day may realize need lower resolution image entire set. team delivers game, cant 1 dude sitting , coding.
