upgrade - Unable to delete registry entry: HKLM\SOFTWARE\IBM\Installation Manager\is64bit -


while installing upgraded development environment consists of combination of websphere 8.5 , eclipse, existing development environment (rad & websphere 6) got corrupted. looks 8.5 corrupted existing regystry.

i uninstalled old dev enviroment , trying reinstall it, error "unable delete registry entry: hklm\software\ibm\installation manager\is64bit". researched find online resolve problem... 1 promising listed on ibm site 1 below:

using regedit, go key hkey_local_machine\software\, , delete of following folders:

ibm\client access ibm\personal communications (if pc5250 installed) ibm\nscmpkg (if pc5250 installed) ibm\trace facility (if pc5250 installed) netsoft\ns elite (if netsoft router installed)

continuing in regedit, go key hkey_current_user\software\, , delete of following folders:

ibm\client access netsoft\ns elite (if netsoft router installed)

finally in regedit, go keys hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\ , \runonce. remove entries reference client access in data field."

i couldn't find of files suggested deleted...

please advise....

please registry file > export

change permissions of ibm. right click on ibm. click permissions. click on users. click remove.

i hope resolve issues.

just user not technical person. resolved issue that.
