Connection between windows and linux machine via socket in c++ -


i have got problem @ connecting windows socket code linux socket code. there cant connection established. use windows 7 , linux machine runs ubuntu. if take codes seperatly , run them on 1 machine, both, windows , linux code communicate themselves. turned off windows firewall, didn't seem work. additionally got d-link dir-615 router , use avira antivir, if want know. matter, port use socket connection? assumption is, have use router function "port forwarding", don't know if i'm correct.
